Coding and Robotics Program
Starting in January 2023, we will be running a coding and robotics program designed for high school students. Due to the rigor of the program, we ask that students apply only if they will miss no more than three sessions.
When: 10:00am-12:00pm on the following Saturdays
Dates: Jan. 28, Feb. 4, Feb. 11, Feb. 25, Mar. 4, Mar. 11, Mar. 18, Apr. 8, Apr. 15, Apr. 22, Apr. 29, May 6, May 13, May 20

We will provide all required materials, and the program is completely free. We ask for commitment when it comes to attendance and enthusiastic participation.
Masks are required.
This course is designed by software industry professionals and is intended to provide students who have little to no background in computer science with a fun, hands-on introduction to coding and robotics.
In this course, we will start by covering introductory computer science topics with the Python programming language. While we are not preparing students for an exam or officially affiliated with any educational institution, we will be covering topics similar to the AP Computer Science A exam including but not limited to: algorithmic thinking, variables, types, conditionals, loops, classes, and recursion.
After learning some basic coding skills, we will apply them to robotics problems and hardware. For instance, we will learn how to help a robot determine the most direct route from one point to another. Depending on how much material we are able to cover, we will tackle more advanced topics.
